Stephen shares a passion for personal health and fitness as well as practicing as a healthcare professional. He started his journey in post-secondary education by majoring in a psychology degree as he was fascinated by the inner workings of human anatomy. However, after several semesters, his mom encouraged him to begin his career in Bachelor of Science in the Nursing program (as his mom is a practicing R.N. for over 30 years). Stephen acquired valuable experience working as a student nurse at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, such as in the Seniors’ Residential care and the Acute Medicine ward. Stephen decided to further his education and graduated in 2019 from the Langara Registered Massage Therapy program where he gained experience treating clients using a variety of massage modalities. Growing up, Stephen enjoyed activities like badminton, swimming, camping, hiking and anaerobic exercises at the gym. As time passed, Stephen experienced a few motor vehicle accidents and a number of sports-related injuries. Stephen uses his personal experience to better empathise and relate to his clients. Stephen believes that communication and building trust between a therapist-client are paramount to an effective treatment plan. He works hard to ensure he is attentive and listens to the client’s needs as well as concerns during each treatment session.
