Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am one of the Physiotherapists at South Island Physiotherapy. My approach to physiotherapy comes from both my background as a lifelong runner and my belief that everyone, no matter their starting point, deserves the same level of care and attention given to athletes. I work collaboratively with each person to set clear goals, create thoughtful progressions, and build a plan that fits their life. My mission is to help you build strength, trust your body, and enjoy the process of working toward your goals. I’m passionate about helping people understand, trust, and move confidently in their bodies. My goal is to give you the knowledge and confidence to take ownership of your movement, understand your pain, and discover just how capable you really are. Together, we’ll build strength, resilience, and confidence in what your body can do. For high-performance athletes, I bring a strong understanding of workload management, training adaptation, and the mental side of sport. With experience competing at the national level, racing on varsity teams, and coaching runners, I understand the demands of high-level training and the balance it takes to perform at your best. I love collaborating with athletes to fine-tune performance, reduce injury risk, and keep you competing at your best. Whether you’re aiming for the start line, making a team, or achieving a personal best, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go. Before becoming a physiotherapist, I studied Kinesiology at the University of Victoria and completed my Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Competing in varsity cross-country and track at both schools taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and really going for it – even when there’s a chance you might fail. Those experiences shaped how I approach both running and rehabilitation: with patience, persistence, and a belief that progress is always possible.
This is session is best suited for persistent/ recurring injuries of 3 months or more. This is session is so much more than just an injury review. This is a life inventory. It is a process in co-creation where we work together to figure out what got you to this point and what it will take to get you back to independence.
