After graduating from UMass-Lowell, Sheilas early corporate career was focused on the installation and support of medical billing and authorization software systems in hospitals and physicians offices around the country. This was followed by a lengthy and rewarding career at a major insurance company in the Insurance Capital of the World Hartford, CT. Upon relocating from Connecticut to New Hampshire, Sheila also made the jump from the insurance side of our healthcare system to wellness. Sheila genuinely wants to help people maintain or improve their health through massage. She enjoys treating the whole person by considering how all of the body systems work together. She also enjoys developing trusting relationships so clients feel welcome to reach out whenever issues, big or small, arise. Sheila graduated from the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts in June 2022. During her ten month program, she interned with us right here at Chichester Massage & Bodywork Center! Were so glad to welcome her back as a peer. When Sheila isnt in the Center, you will likely find her in one of three places in her gym, in the kitchen cooking good food, or on a hike with her husband and two Portuguese Water Dogs Porter and Pumpkin.
We will customize the session with technique and pressure based on what your body kneads that day. Whether you are suffering from pain or restricted movement from an accident, sports injury, repetitive motions on the job or if you just need a "timeout" from everyday stresses we will use a variety of techniques from our "toolbox" including Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Swedish, Aromatherapy and more to target your needs.
