Allison Blanchette graduated from the 3000 hour program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, BC. Shortly after becoming a RMT, she made the move to Kelowna for a life change. As an RMT, Allison believes one the greatest qualities she can include in treatment, is listening to the patient. Through the interview and assessment, she is able to tailor her treatments to suit the patients’ needs. A treatment is not one size fits all! Allison uses a variety of techniques, such as myofascial release, swedish massage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, amongst others to help her patients with their musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Allison has continued her education with courses in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), Craniosacral Therapy 1 (CS1) through the Upledger Institute and the Ultimate Guide to Deep Tissue Therapy (twice). Recommendations to activities of daily living along with other homecare is given to prolong the treatments’ effects. When not at work, Allison can be found hanging out with her partner and pets or outside enjoying Kelowna’s beautiful scenery. Allison is an avid runner, completing her first marathon in 2019 at the Okanagan Marathon. She has completed several half marathons and is working on breaking her current 1:46 time. Allison’s preferred area of focus is Deep Tissue Therapy.
