Naseem Amani (or Nas for short) obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2009. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto in 2011. Since completing her university degrees, Nas has continued to expand on her physiotherapy knowledge and skills through courses in soft tissue release, neural mobilization, chronic pain, osteoporosis and much more. She has obtained her certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and has completed numerous courses on the MDT Method through the McKenzie Institute of Canada. Long story short, she loves to learn and is committed to providing up-to-date evidence-based care to her clients. As a physiotherapist, Nas has the education and skills necessary to treat a wide variety of complex conditions and injuries. She uses a combination of education (because knowledge is power!), manual therapy, customized exercise programming, and acupuncture to help her clients reach their therapeutic goals. Nas also has a longstanding love for yoga. She completed her first Yoga Teacher Training through YYoga College in Toronto and started teaching in the local community in 2016. She then took a break from clinic work and teaching in 2019, in order to travel to British Columbia for her Yoga Therapy training at Ajna Yoga College in Victoria, as well as her Acro Yoga Teacher Training in Vancouver. Nas wants to experience all the different and fun ways to move and connect with her body and then share that knowledge with her clients. Her goals within the clinic are to provide each individual with the knowledge and skills needed to feel better, move better, and return to their favourite activities! When she is not at the clinic, you can find her rock climbing, mountain biking, doing acro yoga or spending time with her friends and family.
