Dr. Richard Robinson is the clinic owner at Altitude Collaborative Health. He works collaboratively with the rest of our therapists and doctors to provide the highest standard of care not only to treat and rehabilitate injuries but help the patient prevent injuries and ultimately help them optimize their performance. Having achieved his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, Dr. Robinson went on to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. Along the way, he studied athletic therapy, and also received his certification in massage therapy. With a goal of treating athletes at the highest level, he gained extensive experience in the field of sports chiropractic by helping create what became the premier student sports chiropractic program in the United States. Since then he has achieved certifications, which include the international chiropractic sport sciences diploma, certified chiropractic sports physician, certified strength and conditioning specialist, active release certification, Graston technique certification, contemporary medical acupuncture from McMaster University, Frequency Specific Microcurrent certification among other specialized techniques. Dr. Robinson has worked with many professional athletes and amateur athletes and was a member of the Canadian Olympic Medical Teams in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, and 2022. He has worked as a contractor with the National Sports Center and with many National Sport Organizations including the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team, Speed Skating Canada, Hockey Canada, Bobsled Skeleton Canada, Canadian Cycling Association, Alpine Canada among other National Teams. Dr. Robinson is also adjunct faculty of Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California where he has taught for 26 years, and the University of Western States in Portland Oregon. He proudly served for six years on the University of Waterloo alumni council. By applying his renowned experience to all of his clients, no matter their goals or injuries, Dr. Robinson leaves each client knowing their optimal physical condition is being looked after in every possible way.
