Shelley is a highly experienced Physiotherapist whose compassion and dedication helps you successfully deal with your physical pain problem. Shelley graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001. Prior to this, Shelley completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University. While at McMaster, she became a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Personal Trainers Network (CPTN). In 2008 Shelley completed her Certificate in Anatomical Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI). Shelley’s tenacity has lead her back to studying completing her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and subsequently became a CAMPT Certified Physiotherapist with the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. For several years Shelley provided physiotherapy first responder care for the Brampton Beavers Senior Men’s Rugby teams. As well, she has instructed Sports First Aid courses for Red Cross and the Sport Alliance of Ontario. Shelley has also served as a health care provider for the Paralympics, Ontario Summer Games, Skate Canada, Big Brothers Big Sisters Ball Hockey fundraisers, Brampton’s Run 4 Hope, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse tournaments and Gymnastics Club Competitions, as well as provided educational seminars for 5K, 10K, and ½ marathon clinics for the Brampton Running Room. When not helping clients in the clinic, Shelley and her husband enjoy the outdoors hiking at Belfountain, Forks of the Credit and other conservation areas with their yellow lab, Jewels. Cooking and entertaining with family and friends at home or at Wasaga Beach is also a favourite past time.
