Shoppe Owner/Manager (she/her) Emma uses her combined knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, as well as CranioSacral therapy, to customize the experience for each of her clients. Her work has been described as intuitive and deeply therapeutic. She is also certified in Prenatal massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Hot Stone massage. Emma believes strongly in whole-body approaches and in the body’s ability to heal itself, aiming to facilitate this process in her work.
Massage
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a light, skin-stretching technique that stimulates lymph flow, encouraging tissue regeneration and elimination of cellular waste. MLD is a great option for pre/post surgery, and for those dealing with lymphedema, allergies, or inflammation.
