Michelle was inspired to become an RMT through her personal experiences with sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. She is an avid skier, trail runner, surfer, yogi and cyclist. By way of these hobbies, she understands first hand how pain and injuries can impact our passions, and moreover, our day to day lives. Each treatment integrates a variety of techniques, including myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilization, active and passive stretching, Swedish and deep tissue massage. She enjoys incorporating an experience of tranquility and relaxation into her therapeutic treatments, whether you are coming in for injury rehabilitation, to restore body alignment, perinatal massage or stress management. Michelle also offers Hot Stone Massage, by request (otherwise hot stone treatments are on pause for summer). This is a therapeutic technique that uses heated, smooth stones to relax tight muscles, relieve pain, and promote overall well-being. The warmth of the stones also promotes blood flow, which can help to reduce pain, stiffness, and tension. Currently not accepting ICBC or WCB claims.
