With more than two decades of clinical experience, Amit brings an extensive rehabilitation background to his physiotherapy practice. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2001 and Master of Physiotherapy in 2010 in India and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Disability Rehabilitation and Management. Amit’s experience spans musculoskeletal and sports injuries, vestibular and concussion-related conditions, age-related and degenerative conditions, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and complex neurological rehabilitation. His work in spinal cord injury rehabilitation has received recognition at both national and international levels. Amit believes successful rehabilitation begins with understanding what a patient wants to get back to doing. He establishes realistic, functional goals and develops a treatment plan around the patient’s abilities, lifestyle, and stage of recovery. Depending on the condition, treatment may involve manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, shockwave therapy, cupping, Kinesio taping, laser therapy, TENS, IFT, ultrasound, and other rehabilitation strategies. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, dealing with a long-standing condition, or working toward greater physical independence, Amit draws on his extensive experience to help patients make meaningful progress. Outside of physiotherapy, Amit enjoys spending time with his family and two young children, playing badminton, watching cricket, reading, and practising yoga.
