Maryam Amani

Maryam Amani is a dedicated and highly skilled physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in both public and private practice. She obtained her physiotherapy degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran and brings extensive clinical expertise and a patient-centered approach to the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including cervicogenic headaches, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related injuries. She believes that patient education and injury prevention are essential components of effective, long-term recovery. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy, hands-on techniques, postural re-education, and individualized exercise rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient’s specific needs and goals. She is committed to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development to ensure her patients receive the highest quality of care. Maryam is a registered member of the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC) and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). In addition, Maryam has completed training in IMS/dry needling through Acupuncture Canada and incorporates these techniques when appropriate to support pain relief, muscle recovery, and improved function. With a compassionate, patient-centered approach, Maryam creates a comfortable environment where patients feel heard, empowered, and motivated throughout their rehabilitation journey.
