Kay's journey into massage therapy began in January 2024, after graduating from the American Institute. With a strong desire to transition from a 13-year career in retailseven of those years spent in managementKay recognized the toll it had taken on her nervous system and overall health. Seeking a career that would allow her to make a meaningful impact, Kay was drawn to massage therapy as a way to support others who, like herself, often overlook the early signs of stress and burnout until it manifests as pain. Massage therapy wasnt just an option for Kay; she had to explore this world. Once the idea of attending school came to her, there was no turning back. While studying, Kay discovered many parallel therapies to massage, such as energy work and somatics (the felt sense of emotions in the body). Currently, she is furthering her bodywork education to become a facilitator, helping individuals understand their nervous systems and overcome outdated patterns, including trauma responses. Kay is excited to be part of the Massage Therapy Group team and is eager to learn from experienced professionals and assist clients in achieving their wellness goals through Neuromuscular Therapy and holistic care.
