My interest in holistic health began when I was very young. My mother always felt that antibiotics should only be taken when absolutely necessary. As a result, she was always seeking other ways to support the body’s healing mechanisms. Acupuncture was one of those methods. I spent most of my adult life working as an aircraft dispatcher and operations manager for the airlines. My spare time was spent learning as much as I could about various natural healing modalities. When I “retired” from the airlines I knew I would pursue a second career in healing. I obtained a Master’s of Science degree in acupuncture from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Colorado. A year later, I returned to school and earned a Master’s of Science in Chinese Medicine. Shortly after, I earned a doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. When I am not in the clinic, I am training in aikido, gardening, hiking, playing Settlers of Catan or thrifting. My love of acupuncture is only exceeded by my love of learning. Some weekends I travel to conferences or trainings to bring new information and/or techniques to my clinic.
