Dr Richard McIlmoyle graduated in 1994 from McMaster University with a degree in Biochemistry and graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College in 1999. He enjoys running, cycling, spending time with his family and all that Vancouver Island has to offer. He attempts to utilize the most current ideas in pain science and bio mechanical evaluation to guide his treatment using multiple manual therapies. Dr McIlmoyle enjoys working with all ages and abilities. Staying active is a key component to overall health and by maintaining a balanced neuromusculoskeletal system, individuals can overcome many of their barriers to leading the lives they wish to lead. Treating pain has become one of his new areas of focus, due to it’s debilitating effects on our population and the poor understanding that most medical practitioners have of the biopsychosocial model of pain. It is currently, the best framework which we utilize for guiding treatment and, in my experience, gains the best results.
