About: Hello, my name is Emily! I’ve been a massage therapist for five years now and am grateful for the opportunity to work with individuals on their journeys toward health and wholeness. I love holistic and integrative models of healing and am a firm believer that every person is their own primary care provider - I’m just here to support you with the tools I have! My favorite part of my work is helping to facilitate healing and restoration for the individuals I work with. Education: I graduated from CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School and Clinic, where I received training in both Western and Eastern bodywork modalities. Being able to treat from both viewpoints helps me provide well rounded, holistic sessions. Techniques & Treatments I Use: I have received education in therapeutic massage, shiatsu therapy, Swedish Massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and cupping. I also earned a certificate in Connective Tissue Massage. Conditions I Love to Treat: While I work with all kinds of conditions, I especially enjoy working with clients on shoulder and neck pain, headaches, and overall stress. Recently, I have been learning more about posture and have been taking a more holistic, functional approach to my clients’ musculoskeletal conditions. I also am trained as a doula and enjoy working with clients perinatally! On a Personal Note: One of my more recent hobbies has been studying and supporting birth! I completed a doula training program and have attended two births so far. I think empowered physiological birth is so beautiful and interesting! If you have any good birth related books or podcasts you’d recommend, pass them on!
