Acupuncture Healing Center
Long Huynh, L.Ac. is the founder of Acupuncture Healing Center and a third-generation Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist in Chicago Chinatown with over 20 years of experience running an herbal practice (Nam Bac Hang). Long was born in Vietnam before the war. His father, Van Luc Huynh, was a Chinese-born Vietnamese immigrant who learned traditional Chinese herbal medicine in China before moving to Vietnam to open his own successful Chinese herbal dispensary. After the war forced the family to flee across the South China Sea to Bidong Island, the United States accepted them and Long’s father rebuilt the herbal practice — first in Minneapolis, then in Chicago. Together with Long and his wife, the family gradually built their herbal medicine shop into a thriving practice, helping countless patients with their health concerns. Long went on to earn his formal acupuncture training at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and has been running Acupuncture Healing Center since 2017. He is currently Vice President of Clinical Operations at the Chicago College of Oriental Medicine and an active instructor at the institution.
