Alen holds a Bachelor of Honours Specialization in Medical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. Since completing his degree, he has been working in private practice orthopedic clinics, treating orthopedic, concussion and sports injuries with all age groups. Over the years, Alen has pursued additional training to further his expertise, including courses such as Orthopedic Division Level 2, Concussion Management, and TMJ Disorders. He has also served as clinic director in a private practice clinic in Ontario and as a course developer at Sheridan College. During his formative years, Alen was a competitive swimmer. This passion carried over to his time at Western University, where he contributed as a member of the varsity water polo team. In his leisure time, Alen enjoys playing tennis, snowboarding, exploring the outdoors, travelling to new places, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
