My journey into Massage Therapy began in my early twenties, after years of struggling with chronic pain and headaches from five motor vehicle accidents during my teens. Frustrated by the cycle of pain and the dependence on prescription drugs, I was ready for something different. A chance meeting at a Christmas party introduced me to Donald Bennett, RMT—the only massage therapist practicing in Regina at the time. One session with Don brought such significant relief that I knew I had found a new path. I enrolled at the Northern Institute of Massage in Regina and, in 1981, graduated from its two-year program. I was fortunate to have both Don Bennett and Abe Reimer as mentors, whose expertise in massage and osteopathic techniques shaped the foundation of my practice. I began my career at the YMCA in Regina and then opened a private practice, which I ran for six years. During that time, I learned about NUCCA chiropractic care through two clients, and began traveling regularly to Calgary to see Dr. Hasick, DC. The treatments were life-changing—they significantly reduced my pain and restored much of my physical function and joy in life. In 1991, my wife Lynne and I made the decision to relocate to Calgary, where I had the opportunity to start a new practice working directly alongside Dr. Hasick. This collaboration allowed me to refine my work with chronic pain, integrating it with chiropractic care to help clients experience deeper and more lasting results. Over the years, I’ve continued to learn and evolve. My training includes: *CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, and Visceral Manipulation (Upledger Institute) *Integrated Body Psychotherapy (2-year training) *Onsen Therapy, Total Body Modification (TBM), *Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment (NISA) *Active Release Techniques (ART) *Bowen Therapy (certified) These modalities have become part of an integrative, client-centered approach that addresses physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances. My work is not just about treating pain—it's about helping people reconnect with their vitality and sense of agency in life. My personal motto is “Relax in my intensity.” I’m deeply passionate about life, but I’ve also learned to slow down, stay present, and let go. I’m an avid skier, cyclist, and outdoor enthusiast. I’ve completed Ironman Canada and continue to train my body to perform, heal, and thrive. I believe in taking a self-responsible approach to health—caring for my body daily so I can show up fully for myself, my family, and my clients. I’m deeply grateful for this path, and for the people who’ve shaped it—especially my wife Lynne, and our daughters Kaney, Lexi, and Nikki. To my clients: thank you for being a constant source of wisdom, inspiration, and strength. It’s an honor to share this work with you.
