Dr. Chaoping Lan, L.Ac. is a highly experienced practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with over 25 years of clinical experience in both China and the United States. He received his formal medical training in Clinical Medicine at Zhongshan Medical University (now Sun Yat-sen University) and later completed his acupuncture training at the Midwest College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Dr. Lan specializes in treating chronic and complex pain conditions, including sciatica, frozen shoulder, neck and back pain, and other musculoskeletal disorders. He also has extensive experience in gynecological conditions such as painful menstruation, irregular menstrual cycles, and infertility, as well as a wide range of internal medicine, dermatological, and pediatric conditions. Drawing from both classical Chinese medicine principles and modern clinical experience, Dr. Lan focuses on identifying the root cause of disease rather than simply relieving symptoms. His treatments commonly integrate acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion, tailored to each patient’s unique condition. Dr. Lan is known for his thorough evaluations, calm bedside manner, and practical treatment approach. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, allowing him to serve a diverse patient population with clarity and care.
During an acupuncture session, patients undergo a comprehensive medical intake and may receive treatment for a wide range of conditions, including (but not limited to) back pain, headaches, digestive issues, mood imbalances, women’s health concerns, respiratory conditions, high blood pressure, circulatory problems, and substance dependence. Acupuncture works by addressing underlying disharmonies, gently restoring balance to the body, enhancing vitality, and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.
