Claudie Melançon was born and raised in Timmins and is fully bilingual. In December 2018, Claudie completed her 5 years full time osteopathic studies at the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal, also known as the Canadian College of Osteopathy. She then came back to Timmins as an intern of Osteopathy while completing her thesis on postural balance in older adults. In May 2021, Claudie successfully defended her thesis in front of a jury panel to receive her Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (D.O.M.P.). Claudie is a registered member of the OAO (Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners). Claudie is passionate about health and wellness and loves encouraging her patients to reach their optimal health. She recognizes a person as an integrated whole; physical, social, emotional, and spiritual. Using various manual techniques, she aims to ease restrictions and pains, reduce swelling, improve tissue mobility, and promote proper function and healing in people of all ages. Claudie’s scope of practice in osteopathy includes: -Geriatrics -Postural balance and posture -Sports injuries -Obstetrics/gynaecology -Digestive problems -Cranio-sacral osteopathy Claudie loves fitness, the great outdoors, good food, and travelling.
