Approach I provide each patient with a thorough assessment while listening to the information the body is offering to ensure for the most individualized and effective treatment. I believe the body has the innate ability to self heal and I view the body as a whole. I don’t believe pain is required to heal and I encourage my patients to be mindful and listen to their body. I work with a variety of techniques to encourage the appropriate change/ healing within tissues and/or systems such as muscle, fascia, organs, nerves, blood vessels, bone, joint, lymphatics and nervous system. About When she is not in the clinic you can find her continuing her practicing/ teaching yoga, dancing, in the gym or on the search for an outdoor adventure such as skiing, climbing and backpacking.
**Therapeutic Listening Assessment & Integrative Massage Therapy (Some Tuesday appointments have been reserved for this treatment)** This treatment can be booked on any day if Tuesday's do not work for you. This specific style of treatment builds on my regular massage work. While it may feel slightly different from a traditional massage, there is crossover, and sessions often blend familiar techniques with a more wide range of approaches. These sessions begin with assessment to help identify areas of the body that are most restricted. From there, treatment unfolds in a responsive and adaptable way using specific, targeted techniques and supportive exercises as needed. This allows us to work toward the root of ongoing concerns while remaining guided by how your body responds in the moment. The goal is to address the "root" of our concern while understanding the interconnected systems of the body. The body is reassessed throughout the treatment to observe shifts and changes, and as those occur, the focus may naturally evolve. You will often remain clothed for the session, so please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Techniques may include work with soft tissues such as fascia, muscles, ligaments, bones, vasculature, lymph, nerves, and when appropriate, viscera (soft tissues and organs of the abdomen). This approach supports the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to reorganize and heal. Please feel free to inquire if you have any questions! This treatment is billable to insurance.
