With more than 18 years of experience practicing physiotherapy across India and Canada, Chitra brings warmth, curiosity, and a whole-person approach to her care. She completed her physiotherapy education at the University of Pune in India and spent many years working across diverse healthcare settings in Mumbai before beginning her physiotherapy practice in Canada in 2022. Chitra’s passion for pelvic and women’s health began early in her career. As a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator for six years, she supported women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood. That experience continues to shape the way she practices today, with a deep appreciation for how our bodies, needs, and goals can change throughout different stages of life. Her clinical interests include pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, perimenopause and menopause, TMJ concerns, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and musculoskeletal conditions. Chitra has completed additional training in pelvic health, manual therapy, dry needling/IMS, and acupuncture, and is committed to continuing to grow her skills through ongoing education. As a mom of two teenagers, Chitra understands that feeling well is about much more than addressing a single symptom. It’s about being able to move, participate in the things that matter to you, feel comfortable in your body, and have a healthcare provider who takes the time to listen. Whether someone is navigating pregnancy or postpartum recovery, pelvic floor symptoms, the changes of perimenopause and menopause, an injury, or simply wanting to feel stronger and more confident in their body, Chitra strives to create a space where people feel heard, respected, and supported. She especially enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and believes great care should feel personal, collaborative, and comfortable. Outside the clinic, you’ll often find Chitra immersed in a good book, out paddle boarding, or happily adding another plant to her ever-growing houseplant collection.
