Welcome! For all who know me already, welcome to my online booking site at the new location in Gasoline Alley! Feel free to book yourself online with the “transferring patient” visit if you’ve been treated by me before at a different location. For those who don’t know me, I’m Dr. Rachel (or just Rachel) and I’ve been practicing as a chiropractor in Red Deer since 2022. I absolutely love the community here and my mission is to help you achieve your health and wellness goals and optimize performance. That can look different for everyone, which is why I practice with a multimodal, personalized approach. I treat all ages with a wide variety of complaints, some of which include back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, knee pain, jaw pain, and wrist/ankle issues. I’ll assess any joint really and let you know if I can help you or if you need to be referred elsewhere. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is so important! My head-to-toe treatments techniques include: Spinal Manipulation Technique (SMT) or “the adjustment” to release tension in joints and improve range of motion; spinal mobilization (a more gentle way to improve joint motion); Activator (a hand-held tool that delivers a certain amount of force to a joint to improve range of motion) for those who are not comfortable with manual adjusting; Soft Tissue Therapy (STT) which encompasses muscle release with movement, percussion, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and cupping; Extremity Manipulation Technique (EMT) which is like SMT but for joints not in the spine - adjusting of ankles, wrists, knees, elbows, etc.; exercise prescription; RockTaping; nutritional advice; and ergonomic modifications. I grew up in Montreal, had a 10-year culinary career including some time in Fort McMurray, moved to Toronto for chiropractic college, and then moved back to Alberta to be closer to the mountains. In my free time, you’ll find me running, hiking, biking, doing yoga, lifting in the gym, or supporting community events.
For adult patients who have never been treated by me before. Please fill out intake forms in advance. First visit includes a thorough health history, physical exam, explanation of findings, and treatment.
