Ryan Walsworth, RMT **Registered Massage Therapist Co-owner, Tranquility Health Massage Therapy** Choosing the right massage therapist is about more than finding someone with the right credentials—it’s about finding someone who listens, understands your goals, and creates a treatment plan that’s right for you. As a Registered Massage Therapist and co-owner of Tranquility Health Massage Therapy, Ryan is committed to providing individualized, evidence-informed care in a calm, welcoming environment where every client feels comfortable, respected, and supported. He believes the best outcomes come from working collaboratively with clients, taking the time to understand their concerns, answer questions, and tailor each treatment to their unique needs and comfort level. Ryan treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and shoulder pain, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, low back and hip pain, sports and recreational injuries, pregnancy-related discomfort, postural strain, stress-related muscle tension, and injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents (ICBC claims). Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing persistent pain, or simply looking to maintain your health and mobility, every treatment is designed with your individual goals in mind. His treatment style blends focused therapeutic techniques with an overall sense of relaxation, allowing clients to experience effective clinical care without sacrificing comfort. Treatments may incorporate Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, joint mobilizations within RMT scope, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, TMJ treatment, movement education, and personalized home care recommendations when appropriate. Ryan graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2021 and is passionate about lifelong learning. He regularly pursues continuing education to expand his clinical knowledge, including advanced training in TMJ assessment and treatment, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, fascial assessment and mobilization, breathing mechanics, pregnancy massage, hydrotherapy, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centred communication. Above all, Ryan strives to provide an experience where clients feel heard, involved in their care, and confident in their treatment plan. Whether it’s your first massage or you’ve been receiving treatment for years, his goal is simple: to help you move more comfortably, reduce pain, improve function, and leave each appointment feeling better than when you arrived—and looking forward to your next visit.

Lymphatic Drainage

50-Min Lymphatic Drainage Treatment with Ryan Walsworth RMT

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling in your arms, legs or any area of the body caused by lymphedema. Lymphedema happens when your tissues retain fluid left behind after your cardiovascular system sends blood to your tissues and organs. The remaining fluid is called lymph. Normally, your lymphatic system collects your lymph and returns it to your heart via a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes. When something disrupts your lymphatic system's process, lymph collects in your arms and legs, making them swell. A massage therapist uses lymphatic drainage massage techniques to move lymph from your tissues to your lymph nodes, which eases the swelling in your tissues.
