Ayla applies a holistic approach to treatment incorporating manual therapy, Clinical Pilates, education and exercise rehabilitation to alleviate pain, improve function and enhance quality of life. During her sessions, she encourages clients to become an active part in their rehabilitation while addressing posture, body alignment, movement patterns and lifestyle factors to prevent future injury and impairment. Ayla believes in the importance of identifying the underlying cause of pain by using the latest evidence-based assessment techniques to deliver both rehabilitation as well as future injury prevention strategies. Ayla completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Physiotherapy in Western Australia in 2014. Since completing her study, Ayla has worked as a sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor treating a range of injuries from traumatic/sporting injuries to chronic pain syndromes. After moving to Canada she developed a love of climbing that eventuated in her moving to the beautiful town of Squamish to become more immersed in the climbing culture. Ayla has worked with both semi-professional and professional rugby and soccer teams in Western Australia and completed Australian Physiotherapy Association Sports Level 1 and 2 courses. Through this training she has further developed these sports-specific principles to treat climbing injuries amongst other traumatic and overuse injuries. Here, her focus has been on training people from early intervention right through the final phases of recovery and back to high-level sport without pain.
