As a Physiotherapist with AFLCA Fitness Trainer & Yoga for Athletes Teacher Trainer Certifications, Sam understands the vital role of a holistic approach in effective treatment. Recognizing that many clients face a challenge during the transition phase from post-rehabilitation to active living, Sam’s treatments incorporate therapeutic & fitness skills to improve the optimal performance of his clients. Sam completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree & as well as a Diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion. He has worked for several years as a personal trainer designing personalized exercise programs, focusing on injury prevention & ergonomic specific training. During his time in Northern Alberta, he also coached athletes from local swim clubs and junior hockey teams, imparting his passion for holistic well-being to the sports community. Sam’s passion for health & wellness & a fascination with science made him decide to pursue a career in physiotherapy & is what continues to drive him to continue to learn & hone his skills to better help his clients. His extensive training includes Vestibular & Concussion Rehabilitation, alongside a full body certification in functional dry needling, affirming his commitment to delivering cutting-edge care. When not working, Sam enjoys traveling, listening to educational & motivational podcasts & talking to family & friends. He also enjoys lifting weights & trying out new cooking recipes. Sam joined the Collegiate Red Deer Downtown team in January 2021 as a Physiotherapist.
