Heather Koubek-Jameson graduated from Healing Hands Institute of Massage Therapy in January 2002 and has been practicing massage therapy full time in NY and NJ since then. She is licensed in massage therapy (LMT) in NY. Prior to obtaining her degree in massage therapy, Heather was working as a licensed social worker (LMSW) for 8 years in various medical settings throughout the 5 boroughs. Incorporating her experience as a social worker has only enhanced her role as massage therapist as she is able to see and address the relationship between a clients emotional and physical issues. Her specialty is in more therapeutic traditional massage modalities, and gentler CranioSacral therapy, providing relief for both chronic and acute emotional and physical issues. She has expertise and extensive training in CranioSacral Therapy, which is her passion. She has been practicing this for 10 years, working with clients who feel stuck emotionally or physically. Working at the client's comfort level, this modality gently addresses deeper restrictions in the body caused by physical or emotional trauma.
