Thank you ************Angela Chia is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and wow—she has a doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Angela is also pursuing a certification in functional medicine, currently as a fellow. Angela comes from a lineage of Chinese medical practitioners, having first been taught needle placement at the age of seven. She has immersed herself in studying plants as medicine, first at UC Davis and later learning Ayurveda while living in India. Fluent in Mandarin, she also shadowed Chinese doctors as a student in Taiwan, seeing how beautifully and effectively Chinese medicine can complement Western medicine. With an undergraduate degree in child development and education, Angela makes pediatrics her specialty. She also focuses on women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders, and chronic pain. Knitting is her free-time jam; she even knits sweaters for her beloved pooches.
This session combines acupuncture with an ancient warming treatment called moxibustion. The practice of "warming the mother" after birth is common all over the world and aids in healing and recovery after birth. It is a relaxing and restorative treatment! We recommend at least 2 Post Partum Recovery Sessions in the month following delivery.
