Dr. Thronson serves as the Chair of Academic Clinics and a faculty clinician at the De Rusha Clinic at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU). A 2014 graduate of NWHSU, he went on to earn a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology while concurrently working in private practice as an associate clinician. Dr. Thronson further advanced his clinical expertise by completing a Fellowship at NWHSU, where he received extensive training across diverse age groups and populations. During his fellowship, he provided chiropractic and rehabilitative care to two local high schools and served as the lead clinician for the Minnesota Freeze, a professional Australian football team. He also held the role of strength and conditioning coach for the Minnesota Vixen, a professional women’s football team. Following the fellowship, Dr. Thronson joined the De Rusha Clinic full-time to develop and integrate rehabilitation services for patients. His efforts laid the foundation for what is now known on campus as the Active Care program, a widely utilized and respected clinical offering. Dr. Thronson’s professional interests include sports medicine, rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning. Outside the clinic, he enjoys golfing and spending time at a lake cabin with his wife, Ashley, and their three sons—Oliver, Noah, and Logan.
This is a 60-minute office visit for current eligible NWHSU employees, students or their family who are new to the discipline, the clinic itself, or who have not been seen in this clinic in the last 3 years.
