Cara completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Prior to this, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Specialization in Kinesiology from Queen’s University. Cara has a passion for continuing her education and professional development. She has received certifications in concussion diagnosis and management, manual therapy, taping, acupuncture, laser therapy and ergonomic assessment. She represented Canada at the Global Health Institute in Norway, where she learned about disability and its impact on rehabilitation. In addition to being a physiotherapist at the Ontario ParaSport Games, Cara provides physiotherapy coverage for local rugby teams. Cara also enjoys research, and her research has been published in the Physiotherapy Canada Journal. Cara has experience treating a wide variety of conditions and injuries in athletes, adults and kids. She has worked in private practice, acute care, and rehabilitation settings. In these settings she has enjoyed collaborating closely with surgeons, physicians, and other rehabilitation specialists. When not working, Cara enjoys traveling, playing sports, and relaxing at her cottage up North. Cara is very excited to be a member of the Spot Physiotherapy team. As a long-time resident of Brooklin, she enjoys treating individuals within her community. She is dedicated to providing patient-centred care and educating patients about their condition or injury. Cara is passionate about helping individuals achieve their therapeutic goals so that they can lead active, healthy lives.
