Lavanya Amirthalingam joins our team from Durham Pelvic Health, where she gained extensive experience working with a wide range of pelvic health conditions. She has completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2020 at the University of Western Ontario, following her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Co-op) at the University of Waterloo in 2018. Lavanya is fascinated by the resiliency of the human body and is dedicated to providing care through a holistic, patient-centred approach. She has a strong passion for pelvic health and is committed to equipping her patients with the knowledge and tools they need to regain control of their bodies and improve their quality of life. Her treatment approach combines education, individualized exercise programs, and hands-on manual therapy techniques, including cupping, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, and kinesiology taping. Lavanya has completed Manual Orthopedic Level 1 and Pelvic Health Levels 1, 2, and 3. Outside of work, Lavanya enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines, spending time with friends and family, staying active, and trying out new recipes.
