Vanessa Perrier NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR MASSAGE THERAPY Registered Massage Therapist Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Vanessa is the Owner/Operator of Perrier Osteopathy and Rehab. She completed her osteopathic training at the Canadian College of Osteopathy’s 5-year program where she learned the latest techniques, and methods in osteopathic manual therapy. In her 5th year she completed her thesis on attitudes and beliefs on chronic low back pain and graduated as the class valedictorian. Vanessa is born and raised in Thunder Bay and attended Lakehead University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science before pursuing her passions in healthcare. She relocated to Sarnia, Ontario to complete her studies in Massage Therapy and received her Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy from Lambton College and returned home to Thunder Bay to start her practice. Vanessa’s experience working as a massage therapist over 7 years has given her invaluable experience in the assessment and treatment of soft tissue injuries, repetitive strains, and chronic pain. Vanessa has a passion for helping people and a deep understanding of how the body works. Vanessa has a gentle, yet effective approach to treatment and always takes the time to listen to her client’s concerns and needs. She believes in working collaboratively with her clients and guides them to take an active role in their recovery. Vanessa believes that compassion goes a long way in the treatment of many conditions and understanding clients’ expectations and goals helps to create a specific and personalized treatment plan for each client. She believes in client empowerment through education and exercise and is passionate about helping her clients return to their activities. When she isn’t working, Vanessa’s interests include reading, playing hockey and training her Portuguese Water Dog, Irving. She is committed to staying up to date with advancements and research in the field and continues to take courses on a regular basis.
