Growing up in the early 80's was an interesting lesson for what the human body can sustain while jumping from moving marry-go-rounds, falling from trees, metal slides and jagged playground equipment. This like many of our behaviors led to a bag full of Diagnosis but those were just labels and never pointing to the cause of those chronic pains. After the Economic collapse in 2009 I had lost everything and started over like many of us. Returning to college and graduating Magna Cum Laude with an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant gave me a new breath of air. Could this really be the answer to my own successful woes while being able to help others in need? Nope... Traditional Western healthcare quickly unveiled what "healthcare" really was. During my first 8 years as a traditional therapist I noticed my hands being held back from the help I was able to offer. Struggling through the red tape of traditional medicine, I was able to train with the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release program. Sadly the small outpatient physical therapy clinic I worked for had little room for a manual therapist as insurance companies truly dictate reimbursements leading to the type of therapy able to be received as a patient. This led me to my education at Blue Heron Academy of the Arts which in turn allowed me to graduate Summa Cum Laude, to become National Board Certified as a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist, and continue my practice as a John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Practitioner. What does all this mean? I have the autonomy and ability for you to come to me. No referrals needed, no insurance red tape, no gimmicks... just authentic healing. My path in this life is to provide a safe space in order to facilitate the healing process of life itself and I am here for you!
