Katie grew up in Ontario and graduated with an honours degree in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. She then completed the Massage Therapy program at WCCMT in Victoria where she built her practice for five years. In 2024 Katie made her way to the west coast of Vancouver Island living and working in Ucluelet and then finally landing with us in Whistler. Katie’s approach aims to build a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients and treat each person as the unique and beautiful individual they are. She applies her knowledge of the human body to assess and treat the tissues in a safe and effective way in order to guide her clients into a higher state of relaxation. She uses a combination of techniques such as myofascial release, Swedish massage, pin and stretch, and isolytic release to decrease sympathetic nervous system firing, encourage and retrain the parasympathetic response, and allow for increased healing to take place. Looking at each person with a holistic approach she hopes to help clients create a positive mind-body connection by becoming more aware of what is happening in their own bodies, relieve stress, and welcome vibrance, vitality, and well-being back into their lives.
