Ever since I was young I have wanted to help people. After watching a close family member navigate the rehab world following a life-changing injury, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare and more specifically, physiotherapy. I have always loved being active, playing sports and getting to collaborate with others in the pursuit of a common goal. Physiotherapy was the perfect career choice for me to integrate all of these interests and fulfill my desire to help people become a better version of themselves. While working as a personal trainer during my undergraduate degree, I constantly witnessed people in pain due to poor movement quality and knew I wanted to learn more about the inner workings of the musculoskeletal system to help. Since beginning my career as a physiotherapist, I have strived to practice with an active approach to rehab that ultimately empowers patients to understand their own bodies and learn how to prevent and manage pain on a daily basis. By combining manual therapy techniques, functional exercise prescription and education, I deliver a comprehensive treatment program aimed at achieving optimal outcomes, while also considering the needs of each individual patient and their unique lifestyle. When not in the physio clinic, you can find me cycling, on the golf course or cuddled up on the couch with a good book and cup of tea!
