1800 Judson Rd, 2000, Longview, TX, 75605

After earning my B.S. in Kinesiology, All-Level P.E & Sports Medicine from Tarleton State University, I entered the world of teaching/coaching to explore my passion for athletics, biomechanics, and performance. A few years into being a public educator, I realized that the career would not be a long-term fit for me professionally or financially. In 2011, I pursued a M.S in Kinesiology, Biomechanics from the University of Texas at Tyler to help further my passion for movement. During that time, I became certified through NSCA for personal training, and later a certified strength and conditioning specialist and CrossFit L-1. Ultimately, my career as a coach/trainer lasted until 2018 when I accepted a graduate assistantship to Texas Christian University. Once at TCU my focus was M.S. in Kinesiology, Motor Control with the long term intention of continuing with a PhD in Biomechanics; however, COVID-19 changed that plan. During that year I met a massage therapist that had a very similar story to mine, but her approach and techniques were not traditional. Because of her, I switched my focus to obtaining my massage license and have not looked back. Currently, I work as a Corrective Manual Therapist for my company, Massage Rx, where I focus on root cause pain, movement restoration, & postural dysfunction. Overall, Ive spent the last 15+ years learning everything there is to know about injury prevention/recovery, optimal mechanics, and training strategies. I've held a number of professional roles, from athlete to coach to therapist, but my passion has been helping my patients improve their quality of life and regain confidence in their ability to move. When Im not working, you can find me spending my free time with my husband, Matthew, and our two dogs. I am an athlete at heart, so I bounce around between a CrossFit and powerlifting focus, but also enjoy anything outdoors.
