Dana Scarton (she/her) studied acupuncture at Maryland University of Integrative Health, graduating with a master's degree and going on to attain her national certification. She loves helping patients experience relief from physical and emotional pain and re-establish healthy routines. Staying healthy is a practice. Dana also enjoys using a holistic approach to improving the look of a patient's skin. She is certified in several specialties, including: 1) the Balance Method, which allows practitioners to treat muscular pain without having to needle into the painful area, 2) Acutonics, the practice of using tuning forks and vibrations on acupuncture points, and 3) Facial acupuncture and rejuvenation, including micro needling, which is amazing at reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and dark spots and promoting the production of collagen.
This initial 90-minute appointment involves reviewing the patient's medical history. learning about their chief complaint, conducting a physical exam, making a treatment plan and performing a first needling treatment.
