Tara is a graduate of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine Academy (Toronto, Ontario), a recognized provincial institution of higher learning. In 2002 she completed a 2200 hour Shiatsu course (comparable to those offered in Japan). She went on to study Chinese Acupuncture over a three year period and completed the program with honors in 2005. She underwent further training in the Spring of 2007 and continues to take courses. She also studied Japanese acupuncture at the Shiatsu School and apprenticed with Takamasa Tsurusaki, R.Ac. (a Toronto-based acupuncturist and teacher) in 2008 and 2009. In 2015 Tara graduated from Eastern Herbal Medicine at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto, and apprenticed with a TCM practitioner for another year afterwards. She is currently working on her thesis in TCM, LLLT, Meditation and Brain injuries.
