Dr. Johanne McCarthy (Onondaga Nation, Beaver Clan, Six Nations of the Grand River Territory) is a Naturopathic Doctor and the Director and Lead of Indigenous Health at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. McCarthy is deeply committed to wholistic, patient-centered care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. She specializes in multi-systemic chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal fatigue, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases, including Lyme disease, and brings particular expertise in adolescent health and mental resilience. Acupuncture
This includes acupuncture for muscle pain, headaches, fertility, hormone balancing, and stress release therapy. Cupping is a safe, and painless way of massaging the muscles with the same effectiveness as a deep-tissue massage.
