Valentine grew up in France, where she completed part of her medical training before relocating to Calgary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge and completed her training as a Doctor of Acupuncture, earning a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine diploma from CITCM in Calgary, where she also completed her Massage Therapy diploma. She is an active member of the Society of Integrative Oncology (SIO). Valentine has worked on research projects in cancer biology at the Cumming School of Medicine (University of Calgary) and in gut microbiome research at the University of Lethbridge. These experiences shaped her interest in evidence-informed, integrative care and the thoughtful application of research to clinical practice. Her clinical focus includes acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine for general health concerns such as digestion, mental and emotional wellbeing, and hormonal balance, alongside comprehensive cancer support and post-surgical scar therapy. She supports patients during active treatment and into survivorship, focusing on symptom management, recovery, and quality of life, while supporting conventional medical care through an integrative approach. Valentine values ongoing education and the integration of Western and Eastern medicine, and she is increasingly interested in contributing to research and improving access to integrative healthcare. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two dogs, Lola and Monsieur Moe, and cooking traditional French meals for her Saskatchewan-born husband.
