Vaiva Underys graduated from Western University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and returned in 2011 to complete a Master of Clinical Science in 2012. She is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists and has training in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation Institute. She has also been a mentor for physiotherapists going through manual therapy credentialling through the Orthopedic Division of the Candian Physiotherapy Association. Vaiva has had the privilege of working with patients of all ages in the community, primarily in a sports medicine setting for 15 years. She continues to enjoy using her manual therapy skills and knowledge of exercise-based interventions to help patients recover from injury. She has assumed many clinical leadership positions and has extensive experience treating workplace injuries such as shoulder sprain/strains, back related impairments (arthritis, disc injuries) and post operative knee injuries (ACL tears, meniscal repairs and various fractures) She is well versed at addressing musculoskeletal complaints incurred from long hours of computer work but also enjoys seeing patients with various sports related injuries such as meniscal tears, discogenic back pain, rotator cuff tendonopathies and ankle sprains. Outside of work, Vaiva likes to stay active and enjoys coaching a young girls club volleyball team in Etobicoke.
