Hi! My name is Natasha. I have been a Physiotherapist for 11 years since graduating from Dalhousie University with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2014. Prior to my Masters, I did my Bachelor of Science Degree with a Minor in Health Sciences at St. Francis Xavier University where I graduated from in 2009. I have taken continuing education courses in chronic pain, nerve injuries and mobility, thoracic pain, concussions, upper extremity conditions, the GLAAD osteoarthritis course, acupuncture, reiki and mindfulness courses. I will be focusing on hands-on treatment with manual therapy techniques, assisting in stretching/mobility and providing one-on-one guidance while performing your exercises for the best chance of success. I offer cupping, heat/ice, ++education and provide acupuncture as inflammation control and symptom management. I do not routinely offer ultrasound, IFC or other similar modalities in my treatments. While they may provide temporary relief, I believe that they can sometimes create a false sense of improvement and promotes outsourcing your pain relief making it easier to skip the exercises and habits that lead to lasting change. My goal is to help you learn how to manage your symptoms independently and gain a deeper understanding of your body. Together, we’ll focus on strategies that empower you to take control of your recovery and long-term health. I am now in a place where I want to combine my physiotherapy knowledge with some of my personal growth based knowledge of mindfulness, intention, communication and nervous system regulation! I hope that by offering longer one-on-one session times, you as the client will also get more out of the intentionality that I am putting behind my practice through the quality of treatment you get!! FUN Facts: I love nature and am a huge advocate for the environment and for using nature to improve wellbeing. I don’t play sports but I do love hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, paddle-boarding. I love to read, mostly books I can learn from but I do enjoy books with fantasy and some sort of magic or powers. I am currently really interested in metaphysics, spirituality and other witchy things ;) I love cats, board games, coffee, craft beer and as a Queer person I am a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ community!.
