Rob graduated from Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy in 1984 and has over 35 years of clinical experience. He has been part owner of Maritime Physiotherapy since 1987 and sole owner since 1990. His clinical practice has been augmented by numerous post-graduate courses and attendance at national and international conferences and symposia. Rob has a strong interest in working with the senior population of our community. He is a certified Bone Fit therapist trained in the treatment and management of osteoporosis, bone health and fall prevention. He also treats and helps patients manage conditions such as osteoarthritis and other rheumatological conditions. He has had clinical experience with local, national and international sporting events such as the World Wheelchair Basketball Games, Canada Summer Games, Canadian Sprint Canoe and Kayak Championships in 2008, as well as Chair of Physiotherapy services for the World Junior Hockey Championships 2002/2003 in Halifax. Rob is an active recreational runner, having completed five full marathons and half marathons, as well as running in local events suck as Rum Runners Run. Rob qualified for and successfully ran in the 2011 Boston Marathon. More recently Rob has begun to complete in triathlon events locally and regionally. Aside from his interest in running and triathlons, Rob has been doing a lot of long distance cycling, including trips around the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec and the Cabot Trail in one day.
