“Our bodies communicate to us clearly and specifically, if we are willing to listen.” ~Shakti Gawain Amie tries to “listen” to the muscles and joints are trying to tell us, whether it be through postural imbalances, tension, inflammation or over-use. Her focus is on you and how you want to feel after each treatment. Did you want to feel relaxed, loose and limber, or getting those “knots” out? The best part of her day is meeting and treating clients, helping them achieve better movement, massaging away any aches and pains. Graduating from Kikkawa College for Massage Therapy in 2011, which ignited a passion for learning more about the human body as a whole, gaining knowledge and experience from everyone that she meets. Experience in a 5 star hotel has helped her integrate more relaxation techniques into deeper tissue treatments finding a balance in that hurt so good pain. Amie is dedicated to upgrading and expanding her skill set in order to provide the most effective treatments. Recent specialized training includes deep tissue, myofascial release, fascial stretching, taping, and Ashiatsu techniques. Outside of the clinic, Amie enjoys running to catch the TTC, going for hikes, summer campfires, Ashiatsu massaging (YES, that is massaging using your feet! ) eating delicious food and getting all the cuddles from her dog.
