Rosanna Marshall, M.S.OM, licensed acupuncturist and herbalist is originally from Nevada and California. Rosanna grew up with a mother that used herbs and a healthy diet as much as possible to keep her family well. From an early age, she was interested in the healing power of nature and plants and ended up finding herself drawn to meditation, yoga and Eastern healing traditions instead of a Western medical education after receiving her degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1998. In 2009 she received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in Washington state. She was trained in Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tuina orthopedic massage as well as nutritional counseling. After graduation, she travelled to Nepal where she worked as a volunteer in a busy medical clinic in the Tibetan neighborhood of Kathmandu. There she treated over 500 patients in 3 months and witnessed the incredible healing power of this simple yet complex medical system. She was in private practice in Seattle for 8 years and in 2017 she sold her practice and moved to Nashville, TN. She worked for 4 years at the Nesting Place in Donelson and is currently practicing at Nashville Brain and Body in East Nashville. She has a special interest in women’s health, mental health and chronic pain, but has experience treating all ages and types of conditions.
