Imagine this: It's time to speak in front of a crowd. Your stomach is in knots. It's official, you're nervous! What do you find yourself doing? Rubbing one hand inside the other, frantically in hopes of calming down. That recliner in the living room, just isn't in the right spot. It;s heavy, so you decide to use your leg to push it to the other side of the room. all of a sudden: BANG! You hit your toe on the metal lever. What is the first thing you do after you hit your toe? grab for it and apply as much pressure as you can while hoping you haven't lost a toe nail! In both situations, you employed, self-massage! If we as humans instinctively give ourselves massage, imagine the benefit of allowing a professional to give it. I am here to assist you in achieving your total wellness. I am a firm believer that massage saves lives. Here's my story: At a young age, I was misdiagnosed as having ADHD. Because my mother had always been health conscience, she took me to an herbalist rather then a traditional pediatrician. The doctor prescribed, an herbal tea for me to drink daily, which I really think was a placebo, and a massage a week. At first, I resisted. The inquisitor inside of me couldn't help but to ask as many questions as I could. Slowly but surely, I began to realize that it was alright to be quiet. I learned that not everyone should (and in my later years, deserves to) hear my every thought. Because of Massage, I learned how to focus. (At least for an hour at a time!) And here's the kicker: I did it WITHOUT drugs. These drugs that are being prescribed for the next generation, are killing them. This is why I became a wellness consutlant. I remind young people to look within instead of looking to drugs.
