Perez Vermeulen was born in Durban, South Africa until 10 years old when he and his family made the move to Vernon. Ever since then he has enjoyed making the transition from the ocean to the mountains and lakes. You can find Perez almost anywhere outdoors whether it is skiing, golfing, hiking, or even a day spent on the lake. Training and working out is also a very important aspect of his life so a lot of his spare time is spent at the gym or a field. Perez has always participated in several sports. As he grew up football became his main focus in high school. Perez had the opportunity to pursue his football career post-secondary but decided to focus on his schooling instead. He went on to attend UBC-Okanagan where he completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics and a Minor in Psychology in 2022. Perez’s previous injuries have helped him decide what he wanted to do. He was greatly impacted by those who helped him along the way to overcome the injuries and return back his sports. Perez wants to have a similar impact on those he works with whether it is returning back to a sport or back to normal daily living.
