While Carly calls Calgary her new home, she was born and raised in Ontario and has always been an active person. She was involved in competitive dance and martial arts growing up and her experience with the ways these two very different sports complimented one another is where she truly fell in love with human movement. This experience and love is what led her towards her path and education as a physiotherapist. Carly completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Ontario Tech University before moving to England to complete her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Brunel University London. Her education continued to fuel her love of movement and around this time Carly shifted her focus towards powerlifting, competing in Canada and the UK. Most recently, she has transitioned to olympic lifting- a sport she feels has a beautiful balance between strength, mobility, and skill. Constantly looking to learn and improve upon her skills, Carly enjoys the opportunity to understand various sports and movements so she can best help her patients. She has a particular interest in helping people create strength through individualized rehabilitation- whether that happens through building strength, expanding ranges of motion, or improving motor control and stability. She loves patient education and is eager to help her patients in the most effective ways for them.
