Dylan Durward is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Kinesiologist dedicated to helping athletes and active individuals return to peak performance through evidence-based care, rehabilitation, and movement optimization. Originally from Kingsville, Dylan developed a lifelong passion for sport and health while growing up playing hockey, soccer, baseball, and golf. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College in 2017, and went on to achieve certification through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association in 2018. Continuing his academic and professional development, Dylan earned a Master’s in Human Kinetics with a specialization in Applied Human Performance focusing on Biomechanics and Ergonomics from the University of Windsor in 2022. His graduate research focused on hand-arm vibration exposure in drummers, culminating in a manuscript soon to be published through the Medical Problems of Performing Artists Journal in June 2026. In 2025, he further expanded his professional credentials by becoming a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. Dylan has gained extensive hands-on experience working in high-performance sport environments. He has provided medical coverage and rehabilitation services for St. Clair Saints Athletics, including work with the CJFL football team winning a National Title in 2024. He also has worked with the Windsor Spitfires OHL hockey club for 5 seasons in a part time role during games, practices, and off ice training. His field experience includes on-site injury assessment and emergency response as a certified first responder, ensuring athlete safety during competition. Clinically, Dylan specializes in post-operative rehabilitation including ACL reconstructions, UCL Tommy John surgery, and arthroscopic shoulder stabilization, as well as the treatment of chronic repetitive injuries such as tendinitis. He has a strong focus on biomechanics education, helping athletes refine sport-specific movement patterns in golf, baseball, skating, and running to enhance performance and reduce injury risk. His approach also integrates strength and conditioning principles to support long-term resilience and return-to-play success. He is currently expanding his expertise through the Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 certification, with plans to pursue the Level 2 Medical course. Outside of his professional work, Dylan is a passionate sports fan, supporting the Boston and New England area clubs, as well as Liverpool F.C. He also maintains an active lifestyle himself, having completed the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon and working toward the goal of finishing a full marathon.
