Annie has always been interested in health, healing, and learning about how the body works. Annie believes in an integrative approach to medicine and healing. She received her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME and then went on to her Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in Newton, MA. While at NESA, Annie took a special interest in orthopedic acupuncture and completed five clinical rotations specializing in orthopedic and pain conditions. Post acupuncture school, Annie has furthered her training in orthopedic acupuncture and has taken courses on motor point and trigger point acupuncture and specific protocols used with NFL players for acute injury. Annie also studied Chinese Herbal medicine and is a licensed herbalist. In addition to acupuncture, Annie is a RYT200 yoga instructor and teaches vinyasa style classes as well as myofascial release classes in various studios and breweries in Southern Maine. In her free time, Annie tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible and loves swimming, paddle boarding, gardening, disc golfing, and skiing.
